In 1954, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) adopted it as its official timepiece, making it popular among pilots. The Navitimer was worn by astronaut Scott Carpenter in space in 1962 and celebrities like Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg, highlighting its blend of style and function. The latest Navitimer retains classic features with modern updates, including a flattened slide rule, domed crystal, and polished and brushed metal elements. For 70 years, it remains Breitling’s most iconic and recognizable timepiece.
