The OMEGA Aquaterra: A New Chapter for Women’s Watchmaking
Since 1902, OMEGA has been at the forefront of women’s watch design—from pioneering early timepieces to icons like the Ladymatic, Constellation, and Seamaster—and now it unveils its latest evolution: the Seamaster Aqua Terra 30 mm “My Little Secret” collection.
This release marks the first time Aqua Terra is offered in a 30 mm case, marrying OMEGA’s historic elegance with a fresh, modern scale. Under its polished sapphire caseback lies one of two new Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibres, specially engineered for this smaller format.
Twelve Expressions of Style
The collection comprises 12 distinct references, each presenting its own personality and finish:
- • Stainless steel models (5): brushed-and-polished bracelets
- • Two-tone models (3): steel & 18K Moonshine™ Gold (2) and steel & 18K Sedna™ Gold (1)
- • Solid gold editions (4): three in Moonshine™ Gold and one in Sedna™ Gold
Every dial features applied hour markers and a date window at 6 o’clock, while the transparent caseback reveals the movement’s intricate finishing.
Engineered Inside and Out
At the heart of each 30 mm timepiece beats one of OMEGA’s new Master Chronometer movements—Calibre 8750 for steel and two-tone pieces (3.98 mm thick) and Calibre 8751 for solid-gold models (4.08 mm thick).
Both movements employ the OMEGA Co-Axial escapement, a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, and bidirectional automatic winding. Certified by METAS, they resist magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and offer at least 48 hours of power reserve, ensuring precision and reliability in a compact form.
Seamless Bracelet Integration
The new Aqua Terra 30 mm features an integrated bracelet design with OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin system and a butterfly clasp with comfort-adjustment pushers. Brushed and polished surfaces flow naturally into the case, underlining the collection’s refined construction.
“My Little Secret” Ambassadors
The campaign, aptly named “My Little Secret,” is brought to life by six accomplished women from music, fashion, and film, each offering a personal styling insight:
