Frequently Asked Questions about OMEGA Seamaster

The process to change the date on an OMEGA Seamaster can vary depending on the specific model and movement. Here are some general steps that can apply to most OMEGA Seamaster watches:

1. Pull out the crown: To change the date, you need to pull out the crown, which is the small winder located on the side of the watch case. There are typically three positions for the crown: fully in, halfway out, and fully out. To change the date, you will need to pull the crown out to the second position.

2. Change the date: Once the crown is in the second position, you can turn the hands of the watch forward or backward until the date changes to the desired date. Do not change the date between 9 PM and 3 AM as this can damage the date mechanism.

3. Push the crown back in: Once the date has been set, push the crown back in to the fully in position. The watch should start running again.

Please note that some OMEGA Seamaster watches have a quick-set date function, which allows you to change the date more easily. If your watch has this function, you can refer to the manual that came with your watch for specific instructions on how to use it.
The process to wind an OMEGA Seamaster depends on the specific model and the type of movement it has. Here are some general steps that can apply to most Omega Seamaster watches:

1. Determine the type of movement: OMEGA Seamaster watches can have either an automatic or manual winding movement. If your watch has an automatic movement, it will wind itself through the movement of your wrist and you do not need to wind it manually. If your watch has a manual winding movement, you will need to wind it regularly to keep it running.

2. Pull out the crown: If your OMEGA Seamaster has a manual winding movement, you will need to pull out the crown to the second position. The crown is the small winder located on the side of the watch case.

3. Wind the watch: To wind the watch, turn the crown clockwise several times, or until you feel resistance. The exact number of turns required will depend on the specific movement and model, so it is best to refer to the manual that came with your watch for specific instructions.

4. Push the crown back in: Once the watch is fully wound, push the crown back in to the fully in position. The watch should start running again.

Please note that it is important not to overwind your OMEGA Seamaster, as this can damage the movement. It is also recommended to wind your watch regularly to keep it running smoothly and maintain its accuracy.
Some Omega Seamaster models are equipped with automatic movements, while others have quartz movements. An automatic movement relies on the movement of the wearer's wrist to wind the mainspring, while a quartz movement is powered by a battery.

If you are unsure about the movement in your Omega Seamaster, you can check the specifications on our website or refer to the manual that came with the watch.
OMEGA Seamaster models, like most luxury watches, can hold their value over time, but the extent to which they do so depends on several factors such as the specific model, rarity, condition, and market demand.

In general, OMEGA Seamaster watches with limited edition runs, unique features, or those made from precious materials tend to hold their value better than those with more standard features. However, the condition of the watch, its authenticity, and correct maintenance are also important factors that affect its resale value.

If well cared for, your OMEGA Seamaster can retain a significant portion of its original value and be a good investment.
The OMEGA Seamaster De Ville that Don Draper wears in the TV show "Mad Men" is a vintage OMEGA Seamaster De Ville reference 145.014. This watch was produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s and features a stainless steel case, a black dial with applied hour markers, and a manual winding movement.

The OMEGA Seamaster De Ville 145.014 has become popular among fans of the show and vintage watch collectors due to its association with the character Don Draper. The watch has also been praised for its classic design and high-quality construction, which have helped it to retain its value over time.
The process to adjust or change the bracelet/strap on an OMEGA Seamaster can vary depending on the specific model and type of bracelet or strap. Here are some general steps that can apply to most OMEGA Seamaster watches:

1. Determine the type of bracelet or strap: OMEGA Seamaster watches can have a bracelet, leather strap, rubber strap, or other types of straps. The process for changing each type of strap may vary, so it is best to refer to the manual that came with your watch for specific instructions.

2. Removing the current bracelet or strap: To change the bracelet or strap on your OMEGA Seamaster, you will need to first remove the current bracelet or strap. This can usually be done by releasing the clasp or pins that hold the bracelet or strap in place.

3. Attaching the new bracelet or strap: Once the current bracelet or strap is removed, you can attach the new bracelet or strap. This may involve using a tool to secure the new bracelet or strap in place, so it is best to refer to the manual that came with your watch for specific instructions.

4. Adjusting the length of the new bracelet or strap: After the new bracelet or strap is attached, you may need to adjust the length to ensure a comfortable fit. This can involve removing or adding links to the bracelet, or adjusting the length of the leather or rubber strap.

Please note that it is important to follow the instructions provided with your OMEGA Seamaster to change the bracelet or strap correctly, as improper attachment can lead to discomfort or even damage to the watch. If you are unsure of how to change the bracelet or strap, feel free to contact us or visit one of our stores for assistance.
