First released in the 90s, the SKX Seiko 5 Sports watches were a modernised version of the classics - updating the reliability and durability of the 1960s originals. The 90s collection offered improved practicality - enhanced water resistance, strengthened crystals along with luminous hands and hour markers. With that in mind, let us introduce the Seiko 5 Sports 'Black Grape' GMT SKX Re-interpretation SSK001K1. With a bi-colour 24-hour bezel coated in Hardlex to ensure durability, the GMT hand improves practicality, visibility and legibility. With a 'beads of rice' style bracelet remaining true to the SKX heritage, the 'five-piece link' design forms a series of small X-shaped patterns. The hands and indices are coated in LumiBrite - fluorescent luminous paint which quickly absorbs light energy, glowing brighter and longer in partial light. Known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance and value, ‘Seiko 5 Sports’ represents the original five key features still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet.
