A New Chapter in Swiss Watchmaking
Founded in 2018 in Nidau (Biel/Bienne), Switzerland’s watchmaking heartland, Norqain is the brainchild of industry veteran Ben Küffer, backed by co-founders Ted Schneider (of Breitling lineage) and Swiss ice hockey legend Mark Streit. With family heritage embedded in the Swiss watch industry, the brand has independence, innovation, and agility at the core of its identity .
Norqain's character is defined by its four main collections—Adventure, Freedom, Wild One and Independence—each offering distinct style and function while sharing the brand’s technical DNA of precision and ruggedness.
At the heart of Norqain is Ben Küffer, drawing on over a decade in luxury watch marketing (Breitling), while family and mentorship reinforce its Swiss heritage—from his father's 45-year watchmaking career to the support of Ted Schneider and Jean-Claude Biver.
Norqain doesn’t just collaborate—it partners. Stanislas Wawrinka, Roman Josi, and Tina Weirather have also invested in the brand, reinforcing its connection to sports and adventure.
Most recently, former Manchester United star Gary Neville joined Norqain’s board and invested in the brand as it expands into the UK market—bringing entrepreneurial gravitas to its growth strategy.
Norqain takes great pride in their support for the Butterfly Help Project. This organisation, founded by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions, is dedicated to providing assistance to families of sherpas who have tragically lost their lives in the Himalayan mountains, ensuring their children have access to education.
As a testament to our commitment, ten percent of the proceeds from NEVEREST sales are donated to this foundation.
From near-obscurity in 2018 to global visibility within just a few years, Norqain has cultivated a passionate community of collectors—already leading independent watchmaker growth. It is now sold through major retailers and is experiencing exponential demand.
The Freedom 60 Chrono “Enjoy Life” is a recent media darling—dubbed "watch of the summer" by Mark Wahlberg after spotting it on Stan Wawrinka at the U.S. Open—prompting waitlists around the world.
Norqain represents a fresh chapter in modern watchmaking—one where independence, authenticity, and craftsmanship meet adventurous spirit. For watch lovers eager to embrace something beyond the mainstream, Norqain’s blend of technical excellence, design depth, and personal storytelling offers an irresistible proposition.
