Breitling's ties to flying date back to the 1930s, when third-generation founder Willy Breitling formed the HUIT Aviation Department, dedicated to creating precision aircraft instruments and pilots' chronographs. Its expertise in the then-emerging field of military aviation carried through into the birth of commercial air travel and beyond, resulting in such renowned timepieces as the Navitimer, the AVI Co-Pilot, the Aerospace, the Emergency, and the Avenger. No other watch brand has a more impressive and enduring link to aviation.
The Avenger was created to stand up to the relentless conditions of a jet cockpit and to support pilots in demanding aerial manoeuvres. Its redesign demanded nothing less, says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. This collection pairs all the performance with sophisticated modern aviation style.
Breitling is meeting the demands of the skies with a redesign centred on sleek aviation detailing, wear-resistant materials, and the addition of the powerhouse Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 to its chronograph models. Pairing performance with sophisticated modern aviation style, the collection's materials—stainless steel on regular models; ceramic and titanium on night mission —are the stuff of aviation design, while dial colours are drawn from military uniform shades.
All stainless-steel versions come with a choice of military leather strap with a folding-pin buckle or three-row stainless-steel bracelet with micro-adjustable folding clasp. Ceramic models are paired to a military leather strap with a titanium folding-pin buckle. And whether you can pull off a barrel roll or not, you'll appreciate everything about the avenger's 300m water resistance, easy-grip functionality, and corrosion-resistant construction.
Breitling Avenger B01 Chronograph 44
Featuring a 60 minutes uni-directional bezel with protective 4-rider tabs, the new Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 models are available in various military camouflage coloured dials: beige, green, blue, and black, all with a B-Breitling-1884 company logo and an integrated date window. Available with either a 3-row stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjustment clasp or military calfskin with folding pin-buckle, the models boast an open sapphire caseback showcasing the sporty finished Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
Breitling Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission
Featuring a 60 minutes uni-directional bezel with protective 4-rider tabs, the new Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission models are available with carbon fiber dial and titanium pushers, crown, back and buckle. The military themed coloured dial in yellow and black are accompanied with military calfskin strap with titanium folding pin-buckle. The Night Mission models boast an open sapphire caseback showcasing the sporty finished Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
Breitling Avenger Automatic GMT 44
Featuring a 24 hours bidirectional bezel with protective 4-rider tabs, the new Avenger Automatic GMT 44 models are available with a second 24h timezone to track Zulu time. The military themed coloured dials in blue and black are accompanied with either a 3-row stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjsutment clasp or military calfskin strap with titanium folding pin-buckle. The 44mm automatic GMT models come with brushed finishing closed caseback.
Breitling Avenger Automatic 42
Featuring a 60 minutes uni-directional bezel with protective 4-rider tabs, the new Avenger Automatic 42 models are available with military themed coloured dials in blue, green and black with the B-Breitling-1884 company logo. Fitted with either a 3-row stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjsutment clasp or military calfskin strap with titanium folding pin-buckle, the 42mm automatic models come with brushed finishing closed caseback.
