How To Measure Ring Size At Home

Find your perfect fit with our printable ring size chart, designed to actual size for accurate measuring. Just print it out and follow the simple steps below to discover your ideal UK ring size at home.

Method 1: Measure a ring you already own

1. Print out this page onto an A4 paper. You have to ensure that you do not select ‘Fit to page/Page scaling’.
2. Place the ring over the different sized circles and find one circle that aligns with the inside edge of the ring.
3. The circle that fits the ring is your ring size.

Method 2: Measure your finger to find your ring size

1. Print out this page onto an A4 paper. You have to ensure that you do not select ‘Fit to page/Page scaling’.
2. Cut out the sizer image following the lines and a slit into the bottom part of it.
3. Place the ring sizer around your finger and pull the top part through the slit to fasten.
4. The sizer should fit snugly but not too tightly, you should be able to slide it over your knuckle easily.
5. Read the letter off the sizer – this is your ideal ring size.

Please note, this is a general guide and may not reflect the exact fit for every ring style. Wider bands, for example, can feel tighter than finer designs. If you're unsure, our in-store experts are here to help you find the perfect fit.

If you don’t have access to a printer, you can still estimate your ring size at home using simple tools:

1. Measure an Existing Ring

Choose one that fits comfortably on the correct finger, then use a ruler to measure the inside diameter (across the centre). Match your measurement to our UK ring size chart.

2. Measure Your Finger

Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of your finger. Mark where the ends meet and measure the length in millimetres. Use our chart to find the closest match.

Fraser Hart Sizing Tips:

  • Measure your finger at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers can shrink slightly.
  • Take three measurements to ensure accuracy.
  • If you're choosing a ring with a wider band, consider going up a size for comfort.
