A bold new chapter unfolds in IWC Schaffhausen’s celebrated Colours of TOP GUN collection. This summer, the Swiss watchmaker unveils two 41 mm chronographs infused with an entirely new shade: TOP GUN Miramar—a light, confident blue developed in collaboration with Pantone®. Inspired by the distinctive t-shirts worn by elite TOP GUN instructors, this hue signals precision, performance, and poise.
The new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar introduces the exclusive blue ceramic case to the family, limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide. The matching dial, strap, and Super-LumiNova® coated hands create a seamless aesthetic, while a titanium case back—engraved with the iconic TOP GUN emblem—speaks to its rugged heritage.
Alongside it, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 offers the same Miramar blue dial in a stainless steel case – the first time IWC has introduced a Pantone® colour to this material. Rhodium-plated hands and a see-through sapphire case back complete the refined yet functional look.
Both models are powered by movements from IWC’s in-house 69000 calibre family, designed for robustness and accuracy. A column-wheel mechanism ensures crisp chronograph operation, while the double-pawl winding system delivers a 46-hour power reserve. The vertical dial layout places elapsed minutes at 12 o’clock for easy reading – a nod to IWC’s pilot watch DNA. For the ceramic version, a soft-iron inner case shields the movement from magnetic fields. Both models are water-resistant to 10 bar and feature the IWC-developed EasX-CHANGE® system, making strap swaps effortless without the need for tools.
From Mojave Desert to Lake Tahoe, Woodland to Jet Black, IWC’s mastery of coloured ceramics has produced some of the most distinctive timepieces in contemporary watchmaking. The addition of TOP GUN Miramar brings a lighter, more playful dimension to the collection—while retaining the technical authority and military heritage that define it. Whether in the stealth-strength ceramic edition or the versatile stainless steel model, these latest releases blend performance engineering with an eye for detail—the mark of a true pilot’s instrument.
