Behind the Lens with Colin Judge

Creative Photographer

In this new series highlighting the wonderful people we work with to make our products shine, we're focusing on the creatives we work with on campaigns, product photography, portraits and more and what makes them tick! In this first edition, we sit down with Photographer Colin Judge.

Tell Us About What You Do

I'm a creative photographer who specialises in food and product photography as well as lifestyle and stop motion work. I love working on a diverse mix of shoots. When I'm on set I can become anything from an Art Director to a Chef if required! I love finer details, design fundamentals and experimenting with different types of light and photography! I also studied Marketing and graduated in 2011 so I've always had an interest in Business.

What kind of projects have you worked on with Fraser Hart?

I've been involved in everything from Head Office portraits to a bridal shoot and even got to work on some stop motion packaging pieces in the run up to Christmas! I love working with the team at Fraser Hart because they always have a strong vision for each campaign and when you get to work with great models and beautiful products, it makes it all the more enjoyable! I can't wait to work on more exciting projects in the future with the team in 2022 and beyond!

Do you have a favourite piece of jewellery?

I know what I like and can appreciate jewellery, but for myself I can never actually choose a piece. Generally, I just want someone else to shop for all my clothes and accessories. The more I work with Fraser Hart though, the more I find my taste in different jewellery items developing

Do you have anything on your Wishlist?

The watches on the shoots look amazing. I haven’t owned a watch in a decade but those watches did look great so I’m very tempted. Seeing them on the model really showed the effect they can have on the overall look of an outfit. Everyone working on set was really impressed by the watches. The more I learn about the different brands and their stories, the more interested I become in them

Where can people find you and your work?

They can visit my website where they'll see some of the different kinds of professional work I've produced over the last few years. People can also follow my Instagram where I post more personal photography and stories from shoots.
