These pieces take design and watchmaking inspiration from moments in Seiko’s history, bringing them up to date for today with the latest technical and design innovations and gold-coloured accents. This watch is designed in the theme of a Solar Eclipse. Lightweight with strong looks; its super hard coated titanium case under dual curve sapphire glass crystal, the black dial represents the moon eclipsing the sun; gold-coloured accents depict glimmers of light shining through the darkness. This model has its own contemporary feel, with sleek lines, slim profile, and compact, angular design. It has an almost seamless flow from the case through the lugs and to the bracelet, with a polygonal bezel design. This piece was designed to have a low centre of gravity, making comfortable on the wrist. The five-piece black and gold-coloured bracelet is crafted from titanium for lightweight wearing. Its new in-house 5X83 solar-powered movement not only charges efficiently, but also features a 1/20th of a second chronograph function for measuring elapsed time. The subdial at 12 o'clock is for the chronograph feature, the subdial at 9 o'clock for setting modes, and the subdial at 6 o'clock for a dual-time feature. Seiko Astron: the world’s first GPS solar watch – powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
