This modern re-interpretation of the 1968 Diver's watch is inspired by Japan’s first hi-beat one-piece Diver’s watch created by Seiko.
The success of the 1968 model built on the foundation for Seiko’s sixty years of diving watch innovation in wearable, precise watches for professional and recreational divers.
This modern watch is powered by the in-house built calibre 6R54, the first movement with mechanical GMT capabilities to be used in a Seiko dive watch. Built for wearability: the bracelet fits comfortably due to its low centre of gravity and short-pitch – and durability: with a three-day power reserve and high-quality scratch resistant Japanese ceramic Diving scale, its water resistance is up to 300m. It is paired with a micro-adjustment clasp for incremental changes and a more personalised fit.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
